School Day at the London Bridge Renaissance Faire

Step back in time and experience history like never before! Our School Day program offers a unique educational journey through the Renaissance, filled with interactive learning, historical reenactments, and hands-on activities.

We are excited to have you join us this weekend for a historical time! The carriages are in motion and the queen’s crowns are being polished in preparation for your arrival. Below is an overview of what your students can expect during their visit to the faire.

Our event features two performance stages, two workshop spaces, and interactive guild encampments throughout the grounds. Students will have the opportunity to explore history through hands-on activities, live demonstrations, and engaging performances. We invite you to come explore, learn, and enjoy the day.

  • $2 per student for a weekend pass

  • $2 per adult/chaperone for a Friday pass

School Bus Parking:Please let us know your bus count if you haven't already.

Bus parking coordinators will be in the parking lot from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM.

Check In and Payment

Schools may pay ahead of time by check or bring cash upon arrival. We also accept card payments via Square at the ticket booth. A map will be provided at check-in for all students.

Friday School Day Schedule:

General Event Info:

  • 10:50 AM – Welcome Show: Kick off the day with an introduction to the world of the Renaissance Faire.

  • 11:00 AM – Darksail: Demonstration of Pirate Guns: Learn about historical weaponry and maritime life with a live demonstration.

  • 12:45 PM – Bird Show: Experience trained birds in flight while learning about their role in history.

  • 2:00 PM – Joust: Watch armored knights compete in a classic medieval tournament. 

Wilding Stage:

  • 12:30 PM – Thomas Pyro Juggler: A high-energy juggling performance incorporating fire and skill.

  • 2:30 PM – Adam the Juggler: A lively and interactive juggling show full of humor and audience participation.

Main Stage:

  • 11:45 AM – Kumpania: Enjoy the daring tricks of Kumpania Circus Troupe.

  • 1:00 PM – Tea and Strumpets: A comedic and musical performance with Renaissance flair.

Event/Educational Tent:

  • 11:15 AM – Leatherworking Workshop: Students can observe and learn basic leather crafting techniques.

  • 12:45 PM – Sonnet Workshop: Introduction to Renaissance poetry and structure.

  • 1:45 PM – Sonnet Workshop: A second opportunity for students to participate and practice.

Additional Workshops and Experiences in the Royal Court (blue building):

  • 12:00 PM – Queen Mary Q&A and War Council: Students are encouraged to bring questions and engage directly with Her Majesty and her court.

  • 1:15 PM – Daily Knightings: Students can demonstrate courtly etiquette and manners for a chance to be recognized by the Queen.

  • 2:00 PM – Embroidery Workshop: A hands-on opportunity to learn traditional needlework alongside members of the royal court.

Ongoing Activities & Attractions:

  • Belly Dance Stage: Continuous performances showcasing traditional dance and cultural storytelling.

  • Ourrenland – Make Your Own Pirate Tent: A creative, hands-on activity where students can build and design their own miniature shelter.

  • TamsnyBrook – Leatherworking Guild: Learn about the leather trade through demonstrations and interactive instruction.

  • Blacksmith Demonstrations: Watch live forging and learn how tools and weapons were crafted in the past.

  • Crusting Phoenix Guild: Enjoy games and challenges, and learn the basics of chess with instructor Grae John.

Additional Information & Preparation Tips:

Volunteers wearing yellow sashes will be stationed throughout the fairgrounds. They are available to answer questions, guide groups, share fun historical facts, and offer mini lessons.

Students are welcome to bring their own lunch. We recommend bringing cash for snacks and souvenirs, as well as a refillable water bottle.

Please encourage students to come prepared with:

  • Comfortable walking shoes

  • Sunscreen and weather-appropriate clothing

  • Curiosity and questions for performers and presenters

We will officially open the gates at 11:00 AM, and groups are welcome to stay and explore as long as they would like after entry.
